Carla's Official Bio
Carla Williams is a Certified Peer Support Specialist, wellness advocate, speaker, and Founder of The View From Here Wellness Collective, a virtual space making holistic wellness more accessible for Black women. Her work is shaped by her own lived experiences, which revealed the need for community, honesty, and sustainable care.
She is the host of Black Women Deserve Podcast, where she facilitates affirming conversations on mental health, identity, and self-worth. With degrees in Communications and Journalism, Carla brings a storytelling lens to her work that centers healing and empowerment.
Her commitment to fostering belonging and self-care has earned her recognition, including the Collaborator of the Year Award (Black Women’s Leadership Conference, 2018), the Invest Award (Urban League of Greater Madison Young Professionals, 2024), and Brava Women to Watch (2026).
